I used an oak sealer and stain to finish and protect the wood, and then added a 2x4 redwood base for stability.
Red Sox Wood-burned Stadium Chair
Only two of these have been made, one as a gift for my friend, ryan, and the other for myself. I grew up watching my mother wood-burn and eventually wanted to learn the nuances of the technique for myself, so when I found two of these bright red stadium seats at the Rosebowl flea market in Pasadena, california i knew it needed the symbol of the baseball team we often watched together.
